Saturday 5/24 - Pensacola Beach Canvassing Event

DAY 1 (SATURDAY) OF CANVASSING FOR ABSENTEE BALLOTS

Pensacola Beach is going to be flooded with a HUGE number of people coming in from around the state for this coming Memorial Day, and it is a great opportunity to sign up Florida voters that support medical marijuana for absentee voting!

United For Care volunteers will be setting up a tent to talk with voters, and volunteers will be walking up and down the beach to sign people up for absentee ballots. We'll be talking mostly gay and lesbian beach-goers, who helped pave the way for medical marijuana in California back in 1996, and they should be extremely supportive of the cause! This is a great opportunity to be out in public and letting Floridians know that the Panhandle has support for medical marijuana!

Meet with our event captain, Pat Powers, 9:30 AM sharp at the NW corner of Pensacola Beach's pier. We'll be collecting signatures until 2:30 PM, or later depending on how people's energy is. Please bring sunscreen, sunglasses, comfortable walking shoes, and a beach/lawn chair to sit in for yourself.

This is the first day of a two-day event. Please RSVP for the correct day(s) that you wish to help. We'll contact you after you RSVP. Thanks so much!
